Do you want to work with public and green environments in an organization that takes social responsibility every day? We are now expanding our operations and are looking for two additional supervisors for participants in the Circular Economy Group (Kretsloppsgruppen).

About the role and your responsibilities

The Circular Economy Group is a program offering work preparation through work training for individuals who are far from the labor market. Participants carry out maintenance tasks in parks and green areas, cleaning, and decoration.

Your responsibilities include:

• operational field supervision of participants assigned to tasks
• planning and adapting work based on participants' different prerequisites
• participate in matching and follow-up of the program's participants
• collaboration and contact with clients, contractors, and the general public
• promote a good working environment and actively contribute to the program's goals and development

We are looking for you

We are looking for someone with experience working with people to support them in approaching the labor market. You are sensitive to people with different needs and backgrounds and understand the specific adjustments required in a work training program. You should have general knowledge about functional variations and the ability to act situationally when meeting different people.

In addition, you have education and work experience in green area maintenance. Experience driving tractors, ride-on mowers, and having qualifications for chainsaws, brush cutters, and road work is meritorious. Good understanding of Swedish and a B-driver's license for manual transmission cars are requirements for the employment.

As a person, you are pedagogical, responsible, and sensitive. You have a good approach and show respect, patience, and empathy when meeting with participants. You have the ability to motivate and guide people and are happy to share your knowledge. You enjoy working outdoors and see the value in combining practical work with social support.

About the workplace

The Department of Streets, Parks, and Nature manages the municipality's roads, tramways, parks, playgrounds, allotment gardens, and nature areas. The unit Park City is responsible for the management of the city's parks and green areas. Our managers handle overall planning and prioritization, and the tasks are carried out by our internal maintenance teams, the Circular Economy Group, and external contractors. We work with the citizen in focus and to deliver the best service for the residents of Lund.

The Department of Urban Development is responsible for a broad operation covering the entire urban development process. With approximately 350 engaged and competent employees, we work with everything from city planning, land management, and development to building permits, environmental supervision, and nature conservation. We develop and manage the public environment and contribute to sustainable urban development that includes outdoor recreation, water care, and nature protection.
